Morenike “Nikki” Akinola (She/Her)
Executive Director
As the founder and Executive Director of Vital Choice, my passion for empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities stems from my life’s journey and experiences working with individuals who faced these challenges. I witnessed firsthand the importance of compassionate care and support to unlock potential and enhance quality of life.
At Vital Choice, our core mission is to deliver personalized services tailored to the individual needs and goals of each person under our care. Upholding values of dignity, respect, and inclusion, we foster a supportive atmosphere where everyone is empowered to flourish.
I am proud of the dedicated Vital Choice team which shares in our mission and works tirelessly to ensure that every individual receives the highest quality of care and support. Together, we are continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance our programs and services, fostering meaningful connections and opportunities for growth.
Looking ahead, I am excited about the continued growth and impact of Vital Choice as we expand our reach and deepen our impact in the community. Babatunde “Tunde” Fadeyi (He/Him)
Assistant Executive Director: Operations Manager
As the Assistant Executive Director and Operations Manager at Vital Choice, I am committed to our mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. With a background in operations management, technology, and staff training and development, I bring a comprehensive skill set to our organization.
At Vital Choice, I oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our programs and services. This includes leveraging technology to enhance service delivery, overseeing the administrative staff and office, and facilitating staff training and development initiatives. I work diligently to uphold our standards of excellence and ensure that every individual we serve receives the support they need to thrive.
I am inspired by the incredible resilience and determination of the individuals we serve, and I am honored to be part of a team that is dedicated to making a positive difference in their lives. Together with our staff and community partners, I enjoy fostering a culture of compassion, inclusion, and empowerment at Vital Choice.
As we continue to grow and expand, I am excited about the opportunities ahead to further enhance our programs and services, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and investing in the ongoing professional development of our staff. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, I am excited about our future in continuing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Laura Spicer (She/Her)
Innovations and Business Development Manager, Social Worker
As a social worker at Vital Choice, I bring a wealth of experience inspired by my adult son who lives with special needs, I am deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
With over 35 years of experience as an IDD and Disability Social Worker, Case Manager, Therapist, and Advocate, I bring a unique perspective to my role. I have dedicated my career to improving the quality of life and engagement of individuals who live with disabilities. I treat the aspirations and needs of each individual and family with the same care and consideration I would if it were my own.
In my role at Vital Choice, I leverage my expertise in strategic planning, analysis, and business management to drive innovation and growth. I work closely with our team to identify opportunities for improvement and best practices to enhance our programs and services. Through targeted outreach and strategic partnerships, I help to expand our impact to our clients, and our community.

Oluwaseun “Grace” Fadeyi, RN (She/Her)
Residential Healthcare Manager
As the Residential Healthcare Manager at Vital Choice, I hold the critical responsibility of overseeing all medical staff and home healthcare services for our clients. With my background as a registered nurse (RN), I bring extensive clinical expertise and leadership skills to ensure the highest standard of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In my role, I prioritize the health and well-being of our clients by implementing best practices in medical care and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. I lead a team of dedicated medical professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that each client receives personalized, compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.
With a focus on holistic care, I collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to address the medical, emotional, and social needs of our clients. From medication management to coordinating medical appointments and providing health education, I am committed to promoting overall health and quality of life for those we serve.
At Vital Choice, we strive to deliver exceptional care that empowers individuals to thrive in their home environment. As the Residential Medical Manager, I am proud to contribute to our mission of enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through comprehensive and compassionate medical services.
